Pilot are happy to form a partnership with TerraCycle, the world's leader in collection and reusing post-consumer waste, to tackle the problem that is sea pollution. This new initiative adds a new 'R’ to the 3-R policy (Recycling, Refiling and Reducing), with the addition of 'Recuperating’ - less plastic in the oceans to reduce pollution. Each piece of plastic in the ocean takes around 40 years to completely degrade and with 8-12 million tons of plastic finding their way into our ocean annually they are beginning to outnumber the population of fish.

It is with this motive and partnership that Pilot are releasing a new sustainable range of pens, the Pilot B2P Ecoball, which for the first time in the world are made of reclaimed plastics including that recovered from the ocean. This new range features the Pilot Blue B2P Ecoball Ballpoint Medium Pens, as part of its composition the pen includes 86% plastic bottles of which 2.5% are recycled ocean plastic.

The 4902505621598 ballpoint pen offers a 1.0mm tip and a 0.27mm medium line, whilst being retractable and refillable. If you refill this pen 3 times you are helping save up to 95% of CO2 from being produced instead of new pens being produced. Offering a comfortable writing experience and a highly innovative way to tackle the large problem that is sea pollution.
